The Varsity Team Dance Team will be Made up of (16) dancers and (12) competition dancers. It is important that all dancers and parents keep in mind that not all dancers will be on the competition team regardless of age and time put into the team. Competitions have certain elements that are required.
Practices: Tuesday 4:20-5:20, Friday 4:20-5:30
There will be two Dance Choreographers myself and the owner of Upstate Strut Kirssy Hewitt. Krissy is the Coach of the Clemson Rally Cats so we are very excited to have her part of the Red Raider Family. The GHS Tryout Clinic will be held Saturday Oct 23 from 11-1. Please come in a dance leotard and black jazz or sweat pants. The cost for tryouts is $10.00. During the clinic, we will review/ teach basic dance fundamentals. You are required to do kicks, turns, and leaps. During the tryouts you will learn a routine and receive a letter that explains if you have made call backs. The date for call backs is to be determined.
